My baby girl is one year old today, and I can't quite believe it. It really has gone by so fast and each stage has been so much fun. Right now, she's in the mimicking stage - she copies our sounds and our motions. Earlier today, she tried putting my glasses on her face. It's the sweetest thing. She is so happy and giggly and chatters to herself and others all day long. She loves being outside and does quite the amazing monkey crawl when she doesn't want to scratch up her knees. She loves other kids and other babies, and is definitely not shy around them. I love watching people respond positively to our baby girl, smiling and interacting with her. It's too much fun!
At one year old:
- she has two teeth
- she's been on four plane trips that were comprised of 15 flights
- she's been to 8 states: California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Connecticut.
- she's been on two long roadtrips, to Tacoma, WA and Yachats, OR.
- she has moved house
- she has lived with two family members (my dad and my sister-in-law)
- she was at the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans within the space of one week
- she did her first night of sleeping 12 hours straight through at 3 months, and officially was sleeping 12 hours at night at 8 and a half months.
