A few months ago, we came upon a conundrum. The conundrum was that we had no car with which to drive to Colorado. We kept praying and felt that we would see something happen, either tons of money with which to rent a truck or somehow, we would get a car.
Then lo and behold, my brother, Sam, gets a new job (which was also an answer to prayer), which also included a new truck. John came up with the brilliant idea of using Sam's old truck to drive to Colorado and then selling it out here where he could probably get more money for it.
It could not have worked out more perfectly. We bought a hitch to put on it, rented a trailer for a lot less money than a truck would have been, were able to use it for the first few months out here (and now we're going to buy it) and were able to use it to pick up fun freecycle things like our fridge and oven! This really was a huge answer to prayer, and one of the many stories that we have of God's provision since we got married! We love our truck!
On another note: we celebrated John's 24th birthday with our dear friends Jim & Kelly and new friends Dave & Katie Yauk (Kelly's sister & brother-in-law). We ate yummy cheese fondue and a free French silk pie from the grocery store (the price was marked wrong and their policy is that you get it free if that happens), and finished with a crazy game of Catch-phrase (boys v. girls)!
